1、 Definition of mould
1: The mold used for plastic injection molding is called injection molding mold, abbreviated as injection mold. Injection molds can form plastic products with complex shapes, high dimensional accuracy, or with pliers in one go.
2: Seven parts mold, three parts process ", for injection molding processing, molds, like injection molding machines, have a great impact on the molded products. It can even be said that molds play a greater role than injection molding.
3: If the mold is not fully understood during injection molding, it is difficult to obtain excellent molded products.
2、 Classification of moulds
There are many classification methods for injection molds. According to the type of injection molding machine used, they can be divided into horizontal injection molding machine injection molds, vertical injection molding machine injection molds, angle injection molding machine injection molds, and two-color injection molds.
According to the number of cavities in the mold, it can be divided into single-sided and multi-faceted injection molds. According to the number of parting surfaces, it can be divided into single parting surface, double parting surface or multi parting surface injection molds. According to the form of the pouring system, it can be divided into ordinary pouring system and hot runner pouring system injection molds. In addition, there are overlapping molds (stacking molds)
According to the basic structure classification, it can generally be divided into the following two categories
1: Two plate mold (two templates, one parting mold.)
2: Three board template (three templates, two parting molds.)
When dividing molds, they are classified into two or three templates, and almost all molds belong to these two types (a few four plate molds)
Injection molds are often divided into: universal injection molds, two-color injection molds, hot runner molds, overlapping injection molds, etc.
Two board mold (characteristics of one-time parting mold): Generally, it separates the fixed template and the moving template on the parting surface.
1: After molding, cut off the molded product and injection port, and perform processing (such as edge gate, sprue)
2: The structure is simple and easy to use.
3: Suitable for automatic product dropping. (Hidden sprue, no post-processing required)
4: Less faults and cheaper price.
The characteristics of the three board mold (secondary parting mold):
1: There is a template between the fixed template and the moving template, and there is a water outlet channel between this template and the fixed template.
2: Due to the use of point nozzles, there is no need for post-treatment of the nozzle position.
3: The structure is complex and requires zoning of molded products and water inlet channels.
4: There are more faults than two board molds, and the mold cost is also higher.
